
Udaipur, May 24: In a significant crackdown against illegal arms, Udaipur police have achieved a major success. A joint team from the District Special Team (DST) and Vallabhnagar police station arrested a suspect, Jamnalal, aged 33, along with two illegal pistols and an unregistered motorcycle.
Under the directives of District Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan, a special campaign against illegal weapons is currently underway. The operation was supervised by Additional Superintendent of Police Anjana Sukhal and Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajendra Singh Jain from Vallabhnagar.
Leading the operation, Station House Officer Poonaram Gurjar, along with the Vallabhnagar police and DST team, apprehended the accused, who is a resident of Netawala in Vallabhnagar. The police recovered two illegal pistols from his possession and seized an unregistered motorcycle.
A case has been registered against the accused under Section 3/25 of the Arms Act, with further investigations now underway. Police are interrogating the suspect regarding the source of the weapons and potential networks involved.
Police officials have made it clear that the campaign against illegal weapon possession and trafficking will continue vigorously in the district.
