Burglars Attack Family in Rajasthan Village

Ahmedabad, May 24: In a shocking incident late Friday night, unidentified burglars broke into a house in the village of Teria, located in the Fatehnagar police jurisdiction, and made off with approximately four tolas of gold jewelry. The homeowner, Mangilal Dangi, was injured after the intruders attacked him with an iron rod when he confronted them.

According to reports, Mangilal Dangi, along with his family, was asleep at home when the incident occurred around 2 AM. The burglars, numbering three to four, scaled the walls of the house to gain entry. In a premeditated move, they also locked the doors of other houses in the village to prevent anyone from intervening.

Once inside, one of the burglars stood near Mangilal with a rod, while another snatched earrings and a nose ring from an elderly woman, Dakhi Bai, who was sleeping nearby. Another elderly woman, Logri Bai, also had her nose ring and other jewelry forcibly taken. The commotion caused by the elderly women’s cries alerted Mangilal, who woke up only to be struck on the head by the burglar, resulting in serious injuries.

After the incident, the burglars fled the scene with the stolen jewelry. Police from Fatehnagar arrived shortly after receiving the report and assessed the situation. Mangilal was taken to a local medical facility for treatment, where he received six stitches on his head. Following the news of the incident, villagers continuously visited the injured family to offer support throughout the day. Mangilal himself reported the details of the attack.
