UDA Demolishes Illegal Structures on 100 Feet Road

Udaipur, May 20: The Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) took significant action on Tuesday to remove encroachments along the city’s 100 Feet Road. The demolition began in the morning on the route from Mali Colony to Hiranmagri, where the UDA team measured a 50-foot boundary from the divider to demolish illegal constructions. The operation commenced in front of the Narayan Seva Sansthan’s World of Humanity Centre. The team removed ramps, permanent structures, temporary setups, and hoardings that were built within the road limits. In several locations, constructions had even been erected over drains, which were also demolished.

During the UDA’s operation, many individuals began removing their temporary constructions voluntarily. The team proceeded through Chandrashekhar Azad Marg and Vakal Mata Marg up to the Hiranmagri main road. In the second phase, encroachments were also removed from the second lane in front of Swagat Vatika. UDA Commissioner Abhishek Khanna stated that no construction of any kind should take place within the road limits. He warned that the campaign against encroachments on roads and public land would continue in the future.
