
Udaipur, May 20: The faith of devotees at the renowned Krishna Dham Sawaliya Ji Temple in Mewar has once again manifested in the form of substantial donations, amounting to ₹23 crore and 53 lakh. The counting of donations reached its third round on Tuesday, with the weighing of a large quantity of notes, coins, and gold and silver ornaments still pending.
According to temple board member Pawan Tiwari, the counting commenced on Tuesday morning following the Rajbhog Aarti, under the supervision of bank employees and temple administration amidst tight security. In this third phase, ₹6 crore and 46 lakh were received. Previously, the first round revealed ₹11 crore and 30 lakh, while the second round accounted for ₹5 crore and 77 lakh.
As per temple administration, once the counting is complete, the amounts will be deposited in various banks. Additionally, the gold, silver, and other valuable ornaments donated by devotees will be weighed and evaluated separately.
The Sawaliya Ji Temple is considered a major center of faith across the country. The temple’s treasury is opened every month on Chaturdashi, attracting devotees from Rajasthan and other states who offer cash, gold, silver, and other gifts. This time, a significant increase in donations has been observed due to the large number of devotees visiting the temple.
