Udaipur Skaters Shine at Championship

Udaipur, June 29: Udaipur’s roller skating players showcased exceptional talent at the recently concluded first Speed Skating Championship 2026, securing a remarkable total of 72 medals. According to NIS coach Ghanshyam Singh Rajpurohit, 80 athletes from BSR Sports Academy participated in the competition, achieving outstanding results with 32 gold, 22 silver, and 18 bronze medals.

Skating coach D.G. Sir highlighted the achievements of individual players, noting that Nirvan Lalwani, Vanshika Jain, and Jai Singh Rao each won gold in the Under-19 category. In the Under-15 category, Bhavin Dhobi and Riya Aswani also clinched gold medals, while Krishna Aswani, Tashil Sharma, Khyati Garg, and Jeevika Deepak Kirtak excelled in the Under-12 category, each winning gold.

The Under-9 category saw gold medals awarded to Viha Chaudhary, Lakshya Khakliwal, and Mittansh Bhatt, while Divit Azmera, Damini Gameti, Siya Aswani, and Rudransh Khatri took gold in the Under-6 category. Additionally, Mohit Chaudhary and Raunak Raj secured silver medals in the Under-19 category, with several other athletes also earning silver and bronze across various age groups.

BSR Sports Academy honored all medal-winning athletes along with coaches and officials, including coach Dilip Kumar, founder Mahi Kaur, basketball officer Jaswant Singh, athletics officer Kaleem Ansari, and others for their contributions to the team’s success.
