
Udaipur, May 28: Hindustan Zinc Limited, the world’s largest integrated zinc producer, has announced the third edition of the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon. Scheduled for September 6, 2026, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, this marathon invites participants from across India to experience an unforgettable run amidst the scenic views of Fateh Sagar Lake and the Aravalli hills, following the success of its second edition.
The marathon will feature a route that runs between the picturesque Fateh Sagar Lake and the Aravalli hills, providing participants with a memorable experience. The previous edition saw over 7,000 participants, including elite runners from 27 states and international competitors.
Participants can choose from various categories, including a half marathon (21 km), a cool run (10 km), a dream run (5 km), and a race with champions, which will also include specially-abled children. The Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon is officially certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races, gaining global recognition as a listed international event. This marathon aims to establish Udaipur as an emerging city on the world running map. Registration will open on June 1.
As one of India’s most beautiful marathons, the route will take runners through Udaipur’s stunning landscapes, from the serene expanses of Fateh Sagar Lake to the picturesque views of the Aravalli mountain range. Participants will experience the city’s rich heritage and natural beauty, making this marathon more than just a race; it will be a journey through one of India’s world-renowned destinations. Special arrangements will be made by Anybody Can Run to enhance the participants’ experience, including strategically placed hydration stations along the route. Additionally, medical stations and rest areas staffed by experienced physiotherapists and doctors will be available.

To make this experience even more special, participants will receive a unique zinc finisher medal inspired by Hindustan Zinc’s mines, symbolizing the spirit of Zinc City.
