Over 1,600 Students Benefit from Hindustan Zincs Summer Camp

Udaipur, June 2: More than 1,600 students from government schools across six districts in Rajasthan are participating enthusiastically in the summer training camps organized under Hindustan Zinc‘s Education Samman programme. The camps aim to foster a nurturing environment, akin to home, where students receive guidance similar to that of their parents, boosting their confidence and interest in studies.

The summer camps, running from May 20 to June 19, 2026, are being held at various locations, including Udaipur, Salumber, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, and Ajmer. The initiative includes a comprehensive curriculum covering subjects like Science, Mathematics, and English, alongside physical activities, sports, and cultural events to ensure holistic development.

The ninth residential summer camp was formally inaugurated at Vidya Bhavan Senior Secondary School, with over 340 students from grades 8, 10, and 12 participating. In addition to the residential camps, non-residential camps are being conducted at six locations, accommodating around 1,200 students. This year, the residential camps have incorporated digital classes, audio-visual materials, hands-on activities, pottery, creative construction from waste materials, and emerging technologies like robotics.

Initiated ten years ago, the success of these camps is evident from the increasing number of participants. Hindustan Zinc has been committed to the overall development of rural children through the Education Samman programme, which has been benefiting students for over 20 years. The summer training camps focus on educational improvement, skill development, and personal enhancement through sports and cultural activities.

During the camp, students from grades 8, 10, and 12 shared their experiences, highlighting the importance of the programme. The inauguration of the Education Samman Summer Camp at PM Shri Rajkiya Senior Secondary School in Sakroda saw over 200 students actively participating. Guests and school principals emphasized the camp’s role in enhancing learning capabilities, building self-confidence, and promoting overall personality development.

Under the Education Samman programme, Hindustan Zinc is providing education to students in grades 10 to 12 in government schools where vacancies exist for teachers in Science, Mathematics, and English. This year, students entering grades 8, 10, and 12 are receiving instruction from expert teachers, making the learning process engaging and informative.
