
Udaipur, June 4: The transport department has launched a significant campaign against drivers violating traffic rules in the tourist city of Udaipur, seizing 30 vehicles. The operation specifically targeted modified bikes operating in the Milk Talai area, which were being used to transport tourists.
Under the direction of Regional Transport Officer Gyan Dev Vishwakarma, the departmental team set up inspection checkpoints at various locations throughout the city. During the checks, action was taken against vehicles with tinted windows, loud horns, modified number plates, and those transporting goods without covers.
Bikes Used for Tourist Rides Seized
Transport Inspector Mukesh Dadh informed that there had been continuous complaints about modified bikes carrying tourists in violation of regulations. Upon investigation, the complaints were found to be valid, leading to the seizure of several bikes, which were parked at the transport office premises.
Campaign to Continue
The department has clarified that legal action will be taken against the owners of the seized vehicles under the Motor Vehicle Act. Mukesh Dadh appealed to drivers to adhere to traffic rules, stating that the campaign aims not only to enforce the law but also to raise awareness about road safety. This special campaign by the department will continue in the future.
