Udaipur, May 24: Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulabchand Kataria’s visit to Udaipur showcased a clear message of simplicity and fuel conservation. At the Dabok Airport, there was neither a large crowd nor an extensive VIP convoy. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for fuel saving and curbing unnecessary expenses, only four vehicles were seen in the convoy instead of the usual fourteen.
Prior Instructions Issued
Before arriving in Udaipur, Governor Kataria had urged party workers and leaders not to gather in large numbers at the airport. He also instructed to limit his own convoy to avoid causing inconvenience to the public and to conserve resources.
Limited Welcome by Leaders
At Dabok Airport, a select group of leaders welcomed him, including Cabinet Minister Gautam Dhan, Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, and BJP leader Atul Chandalya.
Public Hearing Scheduled
During his two-day visit, Governor Kataria will also travel to Chittorgarh on Saturday. He is scheduled to hold a public hearing at the Circuit House on Sunday at 10 AM, with plans to return to Chandigarh on Monday morning.
