Udaipur, May 13: A tragic road accident on the Nimbahera-Chittorgarh highway in Rajasthan resulted in the deaths of three youths, including two cousins, on Sunday night. An unidentified vehicle collided with their motorcycle, causing them to fall severely injured on the road. The three youths reportedly struggled for about four hours before succumbing to their injuries due to a lack of timely assistance. The incident occurred near Lakshmipura village, approximately seven kilometers from Nimbahera.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Kailash Sharma from Nimbahera Sadar police station stated that they received information about the accident from passersby around 3 AM. Upon arrival, police found the three youths lying on the road in critical condition, all suffering from severe head injuries. They were transported to the district hospital in Nimbahera, where doctors declared them dead.
The deceased have been identified as Govind Singh (33) from Agar Malwa, Sher Singh (30), and Dharmraj (30) from Jhalawar. Govind and Sher were cousins. The trio had been staying in a rented room in Nimbahera for the past 15 days, working as laborers on a nearby construction site. They were returning home on their motorcycle after completing their work when the accident occurred. The motorcycle was completely damaged in the collision.
Govind’s father, Shambhu Singh, reported that he received news of his son’s accident around 5 AM and rushed to Nimbahera with relatives. Upon reaching the district hospital, he learned that Sher Singh, his nephew, was also a victim of the same accident.
The police have registered a case based on the family’s report and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to locate the fleeing vehicle. The families of the deceased are in mourning, with Govind having been married for about 12 years and leaving behind two daughters, while Sher Singh has one daughter.
