Bike Theft Gang Busted in Udaipur

Udaipur, May 6: The police in Udaipur’s Pratap Nagar have made a significant breakthrough in bike theft cases, arresting one accused and detaining two minors. A total of seven stolen motorcycles have been recovered from the suspects.

According to police reports, Bhagwati Lal, a resident of Khedapura, filed a complaint stating that his motorcycle (RJ27 AC 4589) was stolen near the Coromandel godown about four days ago. Following the report, an investigation was launched.

Under the direction of District Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan, a team was formed led by Pratap Nagar Station House Officer Puran Singh, with the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Umesh Ojha and Circle Officer Surya Veer Singh. The team identified and detained several suspicious youths based on information and technical evidence.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to stealing a total of seven motorcycles. Subsequently, police arrested one accused named Ramesh (21 years old, resident of Apani Dhani, Kherwada ka Guda), while two minors were also taken into custody.

Of the recovered motorcycles, five were stolen from the Pratap Nagar area and one from the Jhadol area, while the owner of another bike is yet to be identified. All vehicles have been seized, and further investigations are ongoing.
