Udaipur, April 8: A tragic incident occurred at the Fatehpura intersection on Tuesday when a speeding dumper, ignoring traffic rules, left a 58-year-old woman, Bhavna Devi, fighting for her life. She was on her way to deliver lunch to her son when the dumper, which entered a no-entry zone, struck her, severely crushing her leg.
Witnesses reported that the dumper driver recklessly operated the vehicle, hitting the woman and running over her leg with the front tire. Following the accident, the woman lay on the road in excruciating pain. A crowd quickly gathered at the scene, but the ambulance arrived nearly half an hour late, causing significant outrage among the onlookers.
With the help of passersby, the woman was rushed to MB Hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment. The police arrived at the scene, seized the dumper, and initiated action against the driver. Local residents and family members have raised concerns about the administration’s response, demanding stricter enforcement of no-entry rules in the city to prevent such accidents in the future.
