Major Drug Arrest in Udaipur Under Operation Trinetra

Udaipur, March 28: In a significant breakthrough against illegal drugs, the Hiranmagar police have detained a fugitive accused under the NDPS Act, who was carrying a reward of ₹10,000. The accused had been evading law enforcement for an extended period and was apprehended based on intelligence and technical assistance.

Under the direction of the Inspector General of Police for the Udaipur range and the guidance of District Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan, a special team was formed. This team operated under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Umesh Ojha and Circle Officer Nagar East, Surya Veer, with Station House Officer Ravindra Singh Charan leading the operation.

The police team executed the operation successfully, detaining Suresh, son of Khetaram, a resident of Bhootia, Thana Kurabad, Udaipur district, who was wanted in connection with case number 286/2024 under sections 8/22 and 8/25 of the NDPS Act. A long-standing arrest warrant had been issued against him, and the police had been actively searching for him.

According to police sources, interrogation of the accused is ongoing, and further investigation is being conducted. It is anticipated that this inquiry may reveal additional networks involved in drug trafficking.

The team played a crucial role in the operation, with members Bhagwatilal, Rajendra Singh, Nandkishore, Pratap Singh, and Lokesh Raikwal from the Cyber Cell contributing significantly under the leadership of Station House Officer Ravindra Singh Charan.
