Remembering the Heroes of Pulwama Attack on Its Seventh Anniversary

Mumbai, February 14: February 14, 2019, marks a dark day in India’s history, as the nation mourns the loss of 40 brave soldiers in the Pulwama terror attack. Today, on the seventh anniversary of this tragic incident, film producer and President of the Film and Television Producers Association, Ashok Pandit, paid tribute to the martyrs through an emotional post on his Instagram account.

In his post, he stated, “Today marks seven years since the Pulwama attack, a tragic day in India’s history. We remember and salute the 40 CRPF soldiers who lost their lives in the 2019 terrorist attack.”

The attack occurred when a suicide bomber from Jaish-e-Mohammed rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a convoy of CRPF personnel traveling from Jammu to Srinagar. This horrific event not only claimed the lives of 40 soldiers but also left many injured, shaking the entire nation. In response, India conducted strong retaliatory actions, including the Balakot airstrike.

On this Black Day, various personalities, leaders, and citizens have expressed their condolences to the families of the martyrs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to honor the brave soldiers, stating that their loyalty, courage, and service to the nation will always remain in the hearts of Indians. He emphasized that every Indian draws inspiration from these heroes.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan remarked that the sacrifice of these immortal soldiers empowers us to unite against terrorism. Central Minister Ramdas Athawale and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also paid their respects, asserting that the sacrifice of these heroes will continue to inspire efforts to eradicate terrorism completely.

Opposition leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and NCP’s Sharad Pawar, also remembered the martyrs, acknowledging their bravery and sacrifice.
