Thiruvananthapuram, 26 December. India won the toss for the third consecutive time in the ongoing T20 match against Sri Lanka at Greenfield International Stadium on Friday and opted to bowl first. The Indian team made two changes, while Sri Lanka made three changes in their playing eleven.

India continued their toss-winning streak in this series. Sneh Rana and Arundhati Reddy were replaced by the returning Renuka Singh and Deepti Sharma in the Indian lineup.

India leads the five-match series 2-0 after winning the first two matches held in Visakhapatnam. The team will aim to seal the series with a win in this game.

On 21 December, India won the first match at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium by eight wickets. They doubled their lead by winning the second match by seven wickets.

The pattern in the first two matches remained the same for India. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and chose to field first. Indian bowlers restricted the Sri Lankan team to a low score, followed by one of India’s top three batters scoring a half-century to secure an easy victory.
