Strict Security Measures at SI Recruitment Exam

Udaipur, April 6: The Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination organized by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission commenced on Saturday in Udaipur under unprecedented security measures. To prevent cheating, strict protocols were enforced, leading to some candidates having their shirts removed and others having their full sleeves cut off.

On the first day, 59.6% of the registered candidates appeared at the 105 examination centres set up across the city. A total of 132,628 candidates were registered, with 33,157 allocated for each shift. The exam was conducted in two shifts— the first from 11 AM to 1 PM, featuring a paper on General Hindi, and the second from 3 PM to 5 PM, which included questions on General Knowledge and General Science.

Prior to entering the examination centres, candidates underwent thorough checks. It was mandatory for them to arrive at least one hour before the exam. The dress code was strictly enforced—full-sleeve clothing, jackets, watches, belts, and any electronic gadgets were completely prohibited. Many candidates faced inconvenience as suspicious clothing was removed at various locations.

As part of the security arrangements, 18 vigilance teams and 179 supervisors were deployed. Examination centres were established in 36 government and 69 private schools and colleges. Due to ongoing elevated road construction and space constraints at the treasury, a temporary strong room was created at the Government Guru Gobind Singh School.
