Udaipur, February 25: A group of 126 teachers selected through the Third Grade Teacher Recruitment-2022 and appointed in December 2023 have submitted a memorandum to the District Collector and the Chief Executive Officer of the District Council, demanding the issuance of their permanent status orders. Despite completing their two-year probation period, the teachers have not yet received confirmation of their permanent positions.
Led by Sher Singh Chauhan, the state president of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj and Secondary Teachers Union, the delegation met with District Collector Nameet Mehta and CEO Riya Dabi to press for immediate action on their permanent status.
Chauhan stated that the cases of the 126 teachers, who have completed their probation, were sent to the District Council for approval by the District Education Officer (Primary) about a month ago. However, no permanent status orders have been issued to date.
Currently, the teachers are receiving a stipend of ₹22,000, but upon the issuance of the orders, they are expected to receive a salary of approximately ₹55,000 along with other service benefits. The delay is causing financial and administrative hardships for the teachers.
During the memorandum submission, the delegation included Satish Jain, Bherulal Kalal, Kamlesh Sharma, Hitendra Dave, Jaswant Kunwar Ranawat, Netraram Meena, Kaushal Bhagora, Bholu Ram, Priyashu Kothari, and other teachers.
The union has urged the administration to make prompt decisions on the pending files to ensure that the 126 teachers can benefit from permanent status, allowing them to fulfill their educational responsibilities with full salary and job security.
