The Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition smartphone is set to launch today in China. This new model is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, promising strong performance for everyday use.
The phone will come equipped with a Leica-tuned quad camera system. This includes a 200MP telephoto lens, a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and an additional telephoto lens. The front camera is likely to be a 50MP shooter, enhancing selfie quality.
The device is expected to have a large 6,800mAh battery supporting fast charging technology. Wired charging may support 100W, while wireless charging could offer up to 80W speeds.
Display features may include a 6.78-inch or 6.9-inch AMOLED screen with 2K resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The phone might also have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and protection with Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0.
Performance-wise, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition may provide up to 16GB RAM plus 16GB virtual RAM, with storage options of 512GB or 1TB using UFS 4.1 technology. It is expected to run on Android 16 with HyperOS 3.
Connectivity features could include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, and satellite connectivity on higher variants.
Regarding pricing, the phone is anticipated to cost around CNY 6,999 (approximately ₹89,450) in China. For the Indian market, estimates suggest a price range between ₹1,11,999 and ₹1,19,990.
