Udaipur, February 9: A weekly inspection of the Central Jail was conducted under the direction of Knowledge Prakash Gupta, Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, by the authority’s Secretary, ADJ Kuldeep Sharma. During the inspection of the Central Jail in Udaipur, ADJ Sharma gathered information regarding free legal aid for inmates, appeal processes, food, snacks, visitation, STD services, and more. The Superintendent of Central Jail, Rajpal Singh, was present during the inspection. Special instructions were provided regarding inmates’ appeals and free legal assistance, and awareness was raised about the NALSA helpline 15100, the NALSA portal, the Assistant Legal Aid Defense Council scheme, legal aid clinics, and other initiatives. Additionally, in light of the rising temperatures affecting inmates, the condition of coolers in the jail was also examined. A public appeal has been made to contact the Superintendent of Central Jail, Udaipur, for purchasing coolers for the facility.
