
Udaipur, February 9: The Village Uplift Camp, initiated by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, has proven to be a boon for farmers across the state. On the final day of the campaign, which aims to empower farmers and promote a prosperous Rajasthan, numerous camps were held in the 8 Giridhar Circle of Udaipur district. Thousands of farmers and local residents participated, availing themselves of various government schemes.
District Collector Namit Mehta reported that on Monday, camps were organized in several areas, including Kurabad, Fatehnagar, Menar, Padarana, and Madri, benefiting a large number of villagers.
Significant grants were provided for agricultural equipment during the camp held at the Badgaon Panchayat Samiti premises. Under the Agricultural Equipment Scheme and the Govardhan Organic Fertilizer Scheme, many farmers received on-the-spot grants. Sub-Divisional Officer Latika Paliwal noted that Bhairulal, a resident of Lakhawali, received a grant of ₹1,25,000 for a multi-crop thresher. Other beneficiaries included Premibai, who received ₹50,000 for a grinding machine, and several others who received varying amounts for different agricultural tools.
Additionally, to promote organic farming, grants of ₹10,000 each were awarded to farmers under the Govardhan Organic Fertilizer Scheme, including Umkar, Mangilal, Udaylal, Sohanlal, and Daulat Singh. The farmers expressed their gratitude, praising the state government and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma for these initiatives.
The camp also provided substantial relief through the Farm Pond and Agricultural Equipment Scheme. In the Madri Giridhar Circle under the Jhadol sub-division, officials from 16 departments participated in the camp. Tehsildar Abhishek Darnaga and Additional Development Officer Lakshman Singh Garasia oversaw the distribution of benefits. Grants were awarded to Jagdish for ₹73,500 under the Farm Pond Scheme, Krishna Gopal for ₹66,000 for agricultural equipment, and Kalpesh for ₹48,000 for fencing. Financial approvals were also distributed for soil health cards and compost unit structures under the Govardhan Organic Fertilizer Scheme.
