New Delhi. A case of sexual assault has been reported involving an 18-year-old woman in Udaipur. According to police, the victim has filed a complaint against two persons, including a woman identified as Rekha.
As per the report, on the evening of January 27, Rekha informed the victim that she would be travelling outside Udaipur. Rekha requested the victim to prepare food for Ram Lal, who was staying with her, and asked her to come to her room.
The victim, trusting Rekha, accompanied Ram Lal on his motorcycle to the room around 9 pm. While the victim was preparing food in the room, Ram Lal reportedly locked the door and began to harass her. When she resisted, he physically assaulted her.
Ram Lal threatened the victim with a knife, warning her not to raise any alarm. He then allegedly covered her mouth and committed the assault. The victim was confined to the room throughout the night. She managed to escape around 6 am the next day, but Ram Lal chased her and threatened her on the way.
Fearing further harm, the victim initially refrained from disclosing the incident. Gathering courage, she confided in Rekha, who advised her to remain silent. The following day, the victim informed her family, who accompanied her to the police station to file a formal complaint.
