
Udaipur, February 19: The vibrant Fagotsav 2026 was celebrated with cultural performances at Nehru Garden, located in the middle of Fatehsagar Lake, under the guidance of Rajkumar Fattawat, the patron of the Shri Mahavir Youth Forum’s Women’s Wing. Sonal Singvi was crowned as the Fagotsav Queen during the event held on February 17.
Event coordinators Saroj Chittora and Sneha Siroya shared that the women’s wing members participated in a canoeing journey, promoting messages of truth, non-violence, and detachment. They also pledged to maintain a healthy and clean Udaipur. The festivities commenced with a collective mangalacharan, invoking blessings, followed by various cultural presentations themed around Fagotsav.
Engaging activities such as ‘Feg-Sweg Introduction’, ‘Phalgun Shringar Dhamaka’, ‘Fag Special Housie’, and ‘Team Work Ka Tufaan’ captivated the audience. New members of the organization, including Deepa Intodia, Deepali Jain, Jinil Kothari, Yogini Dak, and Sonia Jain, were honored in a traditional Mewari ceremony by the organization’s president, Ritu Maru, and general secretary, Priya Jhagdaawat.
Winners of various competitions included Sonal Singvi as Fagotsav Queen, while Shashi Siroya and Deepali Jain secured the first and second positions in the Chudi Kangna competition, respectively. Shashi Siroya and Sonia Jain were also recognized in the introduction session. They received mementos and shawls from Vijayalakshmi Galundia and Asha Kothari.
Priya Jhagdaawat, the general secretary of the women’s wing, announced upcoming events, including International Women’s Day on March 8 and the Akshaya Tritiya celebration for the year’s Tap Samman. The event concluded with closing remarks from Ritu Maru and gratitude expressed by Priya Jhagdaawat, with Saroj Chittora serving as the host. All members of the Shri Mahavir Youth Forum’s Women’s Wing were present during this vibrant celebration.
