Quiz Competition Promotes Animal Welfare Awareness

Udaipur, February 9: A quiz competition was held at the Government Animal Husbandry Training Institute on Monday as part of the Animal Welfare and Animal Cruelty Month. Joint Director Dr. Surendra Chhangani stated that the competition aimed to raise awareness about animal cruelty and spread the message of animal welfare among students. Students from the first and second years actively participated in the quiz.

Dr. Padma Meal informed the students about the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. She highlighted various examples of animal cruelty, including tying animals with short ropes that restrict their movement, overloading them with excessive weight, killing animals, and subjecting them to cruelty for entertainment.

Dr. Omprakash Sahu mentioned that ongoing events are being organized to promote love, compassion, and kindness towards animals in the community and to prevent animal cruelty. The event was also attended by Himat Singh Dulawat and Vijay Garasia.
