During the launch of the song ‘Sahana Sahana’ from the upcoming film The Raja Saab in Hyderabad, actress Nidhhi Agerwal got trapped in an uncontrollable crowd of fans. The event, held on Wednesday evening, turned chaotic due to the overwhelming enthusiasm of predominantly young male admirers, raising serious concerns about the safety arrangements at film promotions.
The grand musical event was part of the promotional activities for actor Prabhas’s horror-comedy film The Raja Saab. The energetic song composed by S Thaman and sung by Vishal Mishra created a vibrant atmosphere on stage. Alongside Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar play key roles in the film.
As Nidhhi Agerwal approached the stage, a large number of fans with mobile phones pressed close to her, creating a highly uncomfortable situation. Private security personnel had to intervene to safely escort the actress out of the crowd. Eyewitnesses reported moments of confusion and unrest at the venue.
Following the incident, Hyderabad police took strict note of the security lapse and registered a case against the management of Lulu Mall, the event location. Authorities stated that the security measures were insufficient to handle such a large gathering, which led to the chaotic situation.
The incident also sparked reactions from social and cultural circles. Renowned singer Chinmayi Sripaada publicly condemned the behaviour, calling it a serious issue concerning women’s safety and questioning the responsibility of event organisers.
There is significant excitement among audiences for The Raja Saab, scheduled to release worldwide on 9 January 2026. However, this controversial episode during the song launch has once again highlighted the urgent need for better security protocols and responsible management in public entertainment events.
