
Udaipur, February 25: A three-day MS Excel workshop commenced at the Computer Lab of the Commerce College, organized by the Department of Accounting and Business Statistics at Mohanlal Sukhadia University under the RUSA scheme. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bhagwati Prasad Saraswat, extended his best wishes for the event.
Prof. Surveer Singh Bhanawat, Dean of the Commerce College, who presided over the workshop, emphasized the high demand for MS Excel in the current corporate world. He stated that MS Excel is not just software but an essential skill for students in the commerce faculty. Through this tool, students can gain both knowledge and income opportunities. He mentioned that students proficient in Excel could earn between ₹30,000 to ₹35,000 per month.
Dr. Parul Dashora, the organizing secretary of the workshop, encouraged students to continuously practice the knowledge gained during the workshop to reap its true benefits. She highlighted the golden employment opportunities available through Excel and the importance of automating tasks to save time and effort.
The training program is being conducted by CA Ritesh Parakh, who has 20 years of experience, providing practical training on advanced Excel functions and business applications. A total of 40 students, along with non-teaching staff from the Commerce College, have registered for the workshop. All participants are learning the nuances of modern accounting and data management, and the initiative has been well-received by the students.
Present at the inauguration were Co-Dean Dr. Shilpa Vardiya and Dr. Pushpraj Meena. Special contributions to the successful conduct of the program were made by Dr. Priyanka Jain, Neha Pandya, Heena Salvi, Kaleem Khan, Shalini Chasta, Bhakti Kumawat, and Dikshant Sen.
