Udaipur, February 16, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) — Udaipur MP Dr Mannalal Rawat honoured local players who won gold medals at the Asian Lacrosse Games, bringing laurels to the country.
The felicitation ceremony was held at the MP’s residence. The honoured players included Sunita Meena, Dali Gameti, Meera Douja, Jula Kumari Gurjar, Yashistha Batra, Yashoda Gameti, Mukan Kumari Gurjar, Roshni Bose, Janvi Rathore, Mohan Lal Gameti, Khuma Ram Gameti, Dayashankar Gameti, Narayan Lal Gameti and Nishant Nagda. Coach Neeraj Batra was also felicitated.
Congratulating the players, Dr Rawat said that these talented sportspersons from tribal and rural areas have enhanced the pride of the state and the nation through their outstanding performance at the international level.
He assured that all facilities and benefits provided by the Government of India to medal winners would be extended to them with full support, enabling them to perform even better in future competitions.
The MP also held a detailed discussion with the players and coach regarding the development of lacrosse and the upliftment of sportspersons. He said that sports provide a positive direction to youth and the government remains committed to promoting emerging talent.
