
Udaipur, February 19: The preliminary education completion certificate examination for Class 8 will commence on Thursday, February 19, while the assessment for Class 5 will start on Friday, February 20, as per the directives of the Registrar in Bikaner and under the supervision of DIET Udaipur.
According to DIET Principal Sheila Kahaliya, a total of 1,642 examination centres for Class 5 and 328 for Class 8 have been established in Udaipur and Salumber districts, with 62,820 students appearing for Class 5 and 56,550 for Class 8.
District Nodal Officer Satyapriya reported that 60 collection and assessment centres for Class 5 and 28 for Class 8 have been set up across both districts. To ensure the security and confidentiality of the examination papers, all centre heads have secured the question papers at the relevant police stations.
Satyapriya also mentioned that a control room has been established at the DIET headquarters to monitor attendance and manage other tasks related to the examination centres.
To facilitate the smooth conduct of the exams, examination committees have been formed at the district and block headquarters. Additionally, to prevent cheating, four flying squads have been constituted under the leadership of the CDEO, District Education Officer (Primary), DIET Principal, and Vice Principal at the district headquarters.
The examination will take place daily from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, with a total of four question papers for Class 5 and six for Class 8. The final evaluation for Class 5 will be held on March 4, while Class 8’s final examination is scheduled for March 6. Meanwhile, the last date for entering session data for both classes on the School Darpan portal has been set for March 6.
