Encroachment Narrows Public Road in Sawaniya Village, Raises Concern

Sawaniya village residents have raised concerns over illegal construction on a public road, causing inconvenience and demanding urgent government intervention. The encroachment is on land registered as plot number 1058 under the Public Works Department, which serves as a main access route for locals.

Prem Lal Gadri, son of Uday Lal Gadri, has undertaken permanent construction on this land, resulting in the road becoming narrow and blocked at several points. This has made it difficult for villagers to commute freely.

Narayan Lal, son of Moda Gadri, a local resident, stated that complaints had been lodged earlier with the concerned authorities, but no effective action has been taken. Both the Patwari and the Public Works Department have confirmed the encroachment and issued notices; however, administrative negligence has allowed the illegal activity to continue unabated.

From a legal perspective, any construction on public land is unlawful. The lack of attention from local administration and relevant departments has emboldened the encroachers, causing significant hardship for the villagers.

This issue goes beyond a mere land dispute as it impacts public safety and citizen convenience. The villagers urge the officials to take prompt action to remove the encroachment and restore the public road for unobstructed use.
