
The Consortium of National Law Universities has commenced the counselling process for CLAT 2026 candidates alongside the release of the results. Aspirants aiming to secure admission in law courses must register for counselling by following important guidelines and timelines.
Registration for CLAT 2026 counselling began on December 17, 2025. Candidates must complete their registration and fee payment by December 27, 2025, before 10:00 PM.
The registration fee for general category candidates is Rs. 30,000. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, BC, EWS, and PwD categories are required to pay Rs. 20,000.
Applicants need to keep the following documents ready for the counselling process:
10th and 12th Mark Sheets
CLAT 2026 Admit Card
Caste Certificate (if applicable)
Domicile Certificate
The counselling will be conducted in five rounds. The first allotment list will be published on January 7, 2026, followed by the second on January 22 and the third on February 5. Candidates allocated seats in the initial three rounds must pay their university fees by April 24, 2026. The fourth and fifth rounds will be completed by May 15, 2026.
