Udaipur, February 16, 2026 — The Women Empowerment Department will organise a seven-day divisional-level Amrita Haat fair from February 18 to 24 at Bhandari Darshak Mandap (Gandhi Ground) in Udaipur. The Amrita Premier League will be a special attraction during the event.

Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani released the official poster of the fair on Tuesday. A review meeting of the organising committee was also held at the Commissionerate Mini Auditorium under the direction of the Divisional Commissioner and chaired by Additional Divisional Commissioner C.R. Devasi. Officers from various departments attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Devasi directed officials to ensure the sale of high-quality products prepared by women self-help groups and women entrepreneurs, and to create an attractive environment for visitors. He stressed the installation of selfie points based on the Panch Gaurav theme, effective publicity and better coordination among departments.
Deputy Director, Women Empowerment, Sanjay Joshi informed that the annual Amrita Haat aims to provide a platform for display, marketing and sale of value-added products prepared by women self-help groups and entrepreneurs, helping them establish a distinct identity. So far, 110 self-help groups and women entrepreneurs have confirmed participation.
Visitors will be able to purchase products such as moong papad, dalia, namkeen, artificial jewellery, ready-made garments, beauty items, pickles, home décor items and handicrafts at reasonable prices.
Departments have been assigned responsibilities for tent arrangements, electricity supply, drinking water, toilets, food and accommodation for women participants, security at the fair and residential sites, sanitation and other basic facilities. Additional District Collector Deependra Singh Rathore directed departments to ensure timely arrangements through prior coordination.
Joshi added that daily cultural evenings, awareness sessions, puppet shows, quizzes, competitions and sports activities for women will be organised during the fair. From February 19 to 23, various sports events for women and girls will be conducted under the Amrita Premier League, which will remain a key highlight of the event. Officials from the Industries Department, Lead Bank Office and Medical and Health Department were also present in the meeting.
