Udaipur, March 26: On the auspicious occasion of Durga Ashtami and Ram Navami, a ceremonial worship of the nine forms of Goddess Durga was conducted at the Narayan Seva Sansthan’s Seva Mahatirth campus on Thursday. In a heartfelt gesture, 501 disabled girls were honoured with a special ‘Kanya Poojan’ to wish for their bright futures.

The director of the institution, Vandana Agarwal, performed the worship and presented gifts to the girls with great respect. Following the ceremony, all the girls were served prasad, including halwa, puri, kheer, and chana.

During the event, Vandana Agarwal stated that the Kanya Poojan on Durga Ashtami symbolizes service, faith, and respect. The institution is continuously working to empower disabled girls and integrate them into the mainstream of society. This includes providing them with free medical care, education, skill training, and rehabilitation facilities.

Institution president Prashant Agarwal mentioned that the tradition of Kanya Poojan has been upheld for the past 22 years. During Navratri, these girls are also offered free corrective surgeries for disabilities, aiming to bring positive changes to their lives.
